Hello there :3 I’m looking for some recommendations on some cruel world anime, anime like Attack on titan, Tokyo ghoul, wolfs rain, the promised never land, ect...anime that has the characters living in a world that is cruel to live in just because you were born into it. I love the dark and psychological aspects of these anime and tend to have more emotions brought upon them. :3 does anyone have any good recommendations for this style of story? The more obscure the better :3 thanks in advance :)

Here are a few titles from your Want to Watch list that I think fit what you are looking for.
Akame ga Kill!
Hell Girl
Parasyte -the maxim-

I am also going to suggest these two.
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash - Not a typical isekai where adventurers find themselves summoned into a fantasy world with super stats, legendary equipment and an epic quest to shape the fate of the world. This is a world where the adventurers are average people and they have to put their lives on the line just to make enough money to survive.
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 - A brother and sister go to a neighboring city for a robotics convention when a catastrophic earthquake ravages Japan and completely disables the transportation infrastructure. They have to face the heat of summer with limited food and water to try to make it home.

I'm also confident that it is only a matter of time before a girl by the name of @Franzi shows up to recommend a certain anime about a pampered princess who gets kicked out of her castle and has to face the real world. She got upset last time I recommended that anime to someone, so I will leave it to her this time.

@Warpuppy You know me so well!

Yes! Watch Yona of the Dawn! Everyone needs to watch this so we get a season 2! Not even gonna try to explain the plot since I think Warpuppy did such a great job already.

Also Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Very dark, lots of suffering. I would recommend the manga over the anime since the anime's a little outdated and the pacing is a bit annoying. But it's well worth it once you get to the answer arcs.

When they cry is just a classic, only seen the first og series tho and none of the adaptations, yona I’ve seen on funimation and crucnchy for so long but never watched it, I think I might soon when I get some off time :) thank you for the recommendation

@LaughingW01f I've noticed you've seen Deadman Wonderland, but you've probably haven't seen the manga. Definitely worth checking out if you're curious about the rest of the story.
https://www.anime-planet.com/anime/legend-of-basara -Recommend this one, even if the anime is incomplete. Should serve as an introduction to the manga.
https://www.anime-planet.com/anime/7-seeds -Also by the author of Basara, but Gonzo really butchered the anime. You can see if you like the anime, but at best its an introduction to the manga. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actualy I am currently reading them ^_^ Deadman wonderland I use to watch during original air, I was so mad that season 2 was never made and the ended the anime way off cliff hanger when they could have easy told the rest of the story, I agree the manga is way better because of the proper ending
