Hi, on July 4 it was supposed to be my first year on the site. Since it's my first year, I don't really know how the mechanism works for this badge specifically. So only July 4, I checked my account, but I hadn't got any badged. I thought it could be a time zone thing, and I waited some time before asking. It's July 6 and there's nothing going on. Is this a bug or when I'm supposed to get the badge?

Maybe it takes a little bit of time. For what's worth, in my case I joined this site on May 17th 2020, but got the badge on May 20th 2021, which is 3 days after the full year had passed.
 
Yearly badges and a few others are awarded asynchronously (checked in the background) and have a delay associated with them as they have to run for every user. This delay currently works out to about 3 days as you found out.
