Yeah, I had a feeling it might not be your thing, but figured I'd mention it. I'm not very familiar with isekai, so that's the only one I could think of, lol.

I actually bought that manga and the writing is godawful, filled with plot-holes and fujo-pandering, terrible pacing, never read anything that bad in my entire life. Spare yourselves.

I felt so too after watching the Anime. But I assumed because it was one aimed at women and I couldn't judge the work fairly

Can't really speak for the anime since I watched it when it was aired here on local TV back in 2006 but as a part of the "target demographic" for the series the manga certainly didn't appeal to me in the slightest specially the latter half, story wise anime did a better job. If something is well written then it will automatically attract fans from all demographics irrespective of whom the it was originally aimed for.
