Anime-Planet Secret Santa 2019

Are you in an anime or manga slump? Or ever wanted to recommend an anime or manga to someone that they might have overlooked? Join our annual Secret Santa event to take part in the fun!

The goal of Secret Santa is to make someone watch and review something that you love, or, you could be a bit evil and make them watch something terrible! But be careful, you might just get a lump of coal in your stocking in return ;)

Making your Secret Santa recommendations

• NorthPole will send you your Secret Santa buddy through a forum PM, on November 19th. The choice is random.

• You'll then need to choose 3 anime or manga for the person (depending on their requests), and reply back to the NorthPole PM with your choices. Do not PM your recipient! It will spoil the fun!

• Do not recommend titles that are:

• Ongoing
• Music videos
• Untranslated/incomplete

Getting your Secret Santa recommendations

• You'll receive your recommendations on November 26th.

• If for some reason you can't watch or read any of the titles you were given, you can request a new batch once.

• Choose at least one of the titles to watch or read, and add a review for it. Or, do them all!

• Though it's not required, everyone is encouraged to discuss your picks and post links to your reviews here in the Secret Santa thread, any time (no minimum date). It helps Santas feel excited about participating to see discussions about your picks!

• Reviews are due by the week of December 24th. Please add a note at the bottom of the review that it's for Secret Santa 2019.

Secret Santa pairs will be announced here in the thread on December 25!

Go wild you bastard. Lucky for you ZK hasn't read that many manga's so you might be able to score something half decent to make him read (though it might be a good idea to read some chapters of it to get a taste out of it). Or you can trap him with reading the manga to an anime he rated on the positive side.

The episode limit you are willing to watch: 24 or 26 is the maximum I am willing to watch.
Would prefer manga or anime or don't mind either: Anime, I already have way too many manga that I'm reading at the moment
If there is a particular genre you really aren't interested in: I tend to watch everything, but since this is my first time here. I am wary of what people can give so no little sister anime please. Also no ecchi/fanservice anime.
Other: I would like to get a variety of genres to choose from.

 

I've always set no limit, and yet I've never had anyone dump anything more than 2-cour on me. I'm pretty sure...? This will probably be the year i'll get three options of 100+ though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
