FUCK YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES, low-key hype for this one and excited to see more Renge This is the pinnacle of comfiness.

Episode 1
Nyanpasu returns with a guy walking his cow (as he does), a toad and the classic feeling of this show tricking me into thinking the countryside life is for me!
Good to have it back, as per the first 20-40 seconds are a quiet reminder as to why we (I) love this setting, the peaceful village as it is. Seems Renge is accepting her life in the sticks though, i guess you can only see a guy walk his cattle so many times until you gotta stop denying it and accept reality for what it is. Looks like the new girl will be appearing again so i can assume she is a new character to stay then?
Hotaro gets a Koma lap pillow? Yes please!!!
BEST of all, they used nano.Ripe for the OP again (i love their music!) so that was pretty awesome, they been pretty faithful to one another from the start if memory serves correct.
Good start, this + Yuru camp is bliss, such a shame they don't air on the same day!

Episode 1:

Oh man Japanese countryside scenery porn never gets old. It's always soothing.

This and Yuru Camp S2 will definitely make this season extra comfy.

I don't get it, so did time advance or we're back doing the same year again? Maybe it's early spring so it's not April yet?

Also off-topic but screw Sentai for their nonsense regional licensing (I watched it anyway).

I can't remember where we are time wise but i didn't feel anything was wrong, Renge introduced it saying she is in her first year which i believe she was when we left off, though it's one of them shows where time hardly moves anyway, i think time as a setting is nothing more than to justify their ages, they seem to as many series do pass through seasons or whatever without advancing time in that no one really ages.
Anyways as said its been a while since i watched it so i couldn't say for sure, but it felt normal, i am just assuming it's based after the summer vacation OVA/Movie they did.

At the very least, Hotaru didn't introduce herself again, so they probably know each other well at this point and Renge was pretty good with the recorder at the end of the episode. Not to mention the new girl who I don't remember ever showing up. Maybe next episode will clear it up.

Episode 2
Man Konome is laughing up this screen time, eh?
Seeing Hotaru act that way is kind weird, i mean, we all know she can be like that behind closed doors with her parents but man seeing it twice in a row with Konome watching felt awkward.

Poor Nii-san though, dude just wanders around in the background as per, drops the sack of sugar and no one notices him, then to not only see him as a ghost but for the two to confirm later neither saw him that day. Natsumi, it's your job to notice Nii-san, your the only character who even talks to him!

I always forget Hotaru is only 11/12 years old though, i mean.... they aren't wrong she is mature for her age, even height she dominates or pulls a close second to the others.

Still feels good to have a more Hotaru based episode, one thing worrying me about this season is the effort focus on the minor characters, 2 episodes of Konome and now next is on Hikage, nothing against the minors but i would rather focus on the lead characters (Hotaru, Renge, Komari and Natsumi).

I was pretty thrilled to see Hotaru's still sporting her unique stalker hobby of loving Komari a little too much. I was hoping for a second take at bringing the girls (or just Komari) over and her nightmare of hiding them again, sadly it didn't happen.

Anyways as always with this show, i quite enjoyed this episode a lot, i just hope they don't get too carried away and spend too much time on the side characters and forget the mains.
I admit, almost wanted the new girl to go into a "city talk" type conversation and Komari to fail to join in as she used to, just because seeing her absent expression as she gets lost in the talk always made me laugh.

PS - Konome can say what she wants, that Pechy (however it's name is spelt) talk is totally justified, everyone talks to their dogs like that... kinda... okay not everyone.... alright, I DO, GOT A PROBLEM?!

I love the new girl. A much more comical and memorable character than Konomi (who I don't even remember anything about from the previous seasons).

Also Hotaru getting found out and then babied around has gotta be one of the funniest moments in the entire show. Love this season already.

Episode 2.
There was a criminal lack of Renge that episode. Also, why is this freaking flute girl back again? Take your Cousin Oliver ass back home already.

Episode 3.
Again with the lack of best girl Renge. Stop doing that, show. Also, where the eff is Candy Store? 3 episodes in and no trace of her yet.

Episode 4

Vintage Renge episode. From playing Santa to deliver the tomatoes that she grew, to making a new friend that called her Onee-san, and playing officer with her new friend, this was another awesome Renge episode, and proves why she is an anime treasure.
