One thing I always loved about Gainax is their love for western media and Panty and Stocking is arguably their biggest personification of that with their homage to western cartoons here. Couldn't get anymore blatant with Chuck being an Invader Zim reference, the art style and comic book graffiti words lawl

They're taking toilet and potty humor to the NEXT LEVEL MOTHERFUCKERS with a literal shit monster. Call me immature, but I giggled like crazy with all the dick jokes and dirty humor. Makes me feel like a kid again. Sometimes I just want to have fun laughing at dumb crass crude shit which I think this show is perfect at and the action of course is bonkers awesome with the need for speed chase.

Their spin on the transformation scene being a sexy pole dance is how you do fanservice right, fuck do I feel utterly soaked seeing how fab that sequence is every time with the OST.

Panty is an absolute legend to me with her agency, sleeps around with guys and doesn't give a single goddamn fuck about it is just so refreshing to me. Japan is so ungodly obsessed with this virgin/purity bullcrap around women that I can't stand and Panty is the biggest middle finger to that notion. Stocking is no slouch either to me though with her goth look and two tone hair eating all the sweets. Two abrasively dominating angels, just the way I like it.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to listen to Fly Away again another 100 times in a row. This is the shit, literally.

Panty fucks a policeman, a plumber, gets covered in shit, then kills a monster literally made of shit.

Then a long innuendo about selfish men in bed.

It's pretty fucking great though, loads of fun, I'd forgotten just how good the OST is, and the high energy nature of the episodes means that you never get bored. Brilliant.

This show wastes no time showing you exactly what it is: near-constant sex jokes, and the first ghost is literally a giant shit monster that sucks people into toilets XD Everything about the show is like a Saturday morning cartoon made specifically to appeal to the crass and often immature side of adults, and it's great.

I love how the art-style suddenly changes completely to a more typical anime look specifically for the hentai-- I mean henshin! Henshin!

This is classic Gainax, back before all their best talent left: absolutely balls to the wall over the top action and animation, silly little gags all over the place, most of them pretty obvious but a few kinda blink-and-you'll-miss-it, like when Chuck gets struck by lightning and the inside of his skull says "airhead." Also gotta show some love for the live-action models being blown up when they defeat the ghosts.

I knew this was a wild ride, but ngl I kinda forgot just how much.

Damn, I want to re-watch that movie again now. It's kind of hilarious thinking about the condom bubblegum moment, that Panty has no fucking idea what a condom is which brings up a whole host of questions quite frankly. Also there are so many cameos in the background if you pay close attention, it's nuts.

Panty was really lacking a lot of foresight there in the 2nd half getting caught up in her fame and pushing Stocking aside like a used condom. I mean, you gave Stocking a copy of the porno movie, seems obvious treating her like shit was going to backfire and she was going to get revenge on your ass lmfao.

Great live action explosion in the end. 10/10 other anime sucks.

The unofficial Death Race 2000 sequel wasn't very fun, but whatever.
 
Episode 2:

"Queen Barby" may be a little on the nose lol. We also got the rather understated intro of Briefs, and I totally forgot he basically started as a Ghostbusters reference.

Love the Pavlovian response of the football jocks to a football, even while brainwashed by a ghost XD

Is anyone really surprised that Panty would be in a porno? But man, remember VHS? Now that's a throwback... Also, her people immediately stuffing the audience's pockets with money and zipping their lips, brilliant visual gag lol

Mean Girls is still the best film ever, apart from The Big Lebowski. Change my mind!

Meh, celebrity sex tapes won't ruin anyone's career, except maybe if you do a racism in them like a certain wrestler. Or if you're in Japan, I guess.

Also, saving private Ryan with sperm was so fucking glorious in how degenerate it was and they overloaded on the puns, BLEW THAT LOAD HARD. I CAN'T WAIT TO DIE FOR MY CUNT-RY, STAND ERECT, A SUCSEX! FAP FAP FUCK! I completely lost it and my lungs couldn't take it anymore as soon as the bomber tissue box planes came swooping in. And can't forget how much I loved Garterbelt's HOLY SHIET! This show fulfills all my engrish needs and it's hard to topple in that regard.

Episode 3:
The first half was fun in it's own way, but let's be real the second was the climax. They really blew their load of puns there and went hard-on the suggestive imagery. I laughed so much, I might need a tissue. What a way to release the tension.

I do have to wonder what they said several times this episode that even this show felt the need to bleep out tho...

It's funny when thinking about dieting to me, cause people think they can get away with temporary changes to lose weight and it'll be that easy. Erm, no it doesn't work like that. You have to make life long consistent healthy changes and exercise to make it stick. There is no easy way to cheat out of this. Starving yourself certainly isn't the answer either.
