The best part was getting to rewatch possibly my favourite scene, the charge of Theoden and the Rohirrim at the Pelennor Fields. From the blaring horns to Hill's powerful delivery, that scene is just spectacular. It takes me back to 2003 when I saw the film in cinemas.

Man, I really need to rewatch the trilogy. I own the extended editions of the films, but have only watched the first one.

I'd definitely recommend setting some time aside over several days to get those watched. Personally, I think the theatrical cuts are the better experience due to stronger pacing. Despite that, it's very worthwhile watching both versions.

Taek and I recently watched these and RotK was Sunday’s watch. He also got very excited at Theodens speach and the charge. Tbh so did I. Always been a favourite bit. About time @Kiruti watched them. They’re classics now, right?

The films were really fun to watch as a group.

They are a great watch, yeah. The length doesn't bother me!
They're definitely classics, even if they only released in the very early 2000s. A must watch for all!
