Fall 2018 Anime Challenge discussion thread

Sooooo.... first time watching any that actually come out right away. I usually watch them after they have been out for a while, which means I wish I caught them sooner haha. Not a lot I want to watch though.....

Watched Angels of Death all the way through including the new episodes and it was alright, Castlevania Season 2 didn't disappoint, Goblin Slayer is pretty awesome (1st ep. was rough! As in I didn't expect what happened to happen in just the first ep.), and Zombieland Saga is pretty fun to watch as well. The only other thing I looked like I wanted to watch was Godzilla Season 3.

Other then that the only other stuff that's out I just started watching (ex. Black Clover) so I'm not going to get to the most recent season out any time soon. Guess that's the issue when watching stuff you missed out on huh? lol
 
After giving it a deep thought I think I'll stop doing challenges and pick what I really enjoy
almost nothing exceeds 3 out of 5 this season imo
honestly, I don't think I'll be able to stand 4 weeks more, not even this week
Agh, I'll just say that this season is plain ok, there's good stuff, but the amount of bad stuff overwhelms it all
 
Will we soon get "point" from Run with the Wind since the last episode of the year seems to be the 11th episode?

Le Incroyable
-JoJo's Bizarre Posed Look: Pissing in the Wind {
of course it's good. There's no reason to deliberate, it's jojo. AOTS. Moving on. 9/10}

-That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime {
Slime show has some surprisingly good directing to hold up its exposition and manages to have charming characters among its isekai tropiness. 8/10}

-FLCL: Alternative {
Doesn't quite reach the heights set by Progressive or the original but manages to have an identity seperate from both, with cute FLCL-ized CTDCT-ness and some good themes.}

-Zombieland Saga{
To explain how I feel all I need is a song
}

Like a haikyuu with less annoying leads but running instead of vollyball, and great animation.}

-Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai {
Oregairu + Monogatari = show. To a lesser degree with both but surprisingly charming}

Then there's Golden Kamuy which continues to be Golden Kamuy and SAO which continues to SAO itself.

WAY better season than I thought it would be.

In the end I'd change these rankings a bit.

-JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind {
Still the best.} 9/10

-That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime {
It's fluctuated between this and bunny girl but I decided I just enjoy this one more overall. So glad it's continuing, such a charming isekai.} 9/10

-Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai {
Got a bit less good as it went on but overall better than most of the shows, it never dropped below that coveted high score for me.} 9/10

Goblin Slayer {
That was fuckin metal as fuck, a show that started so much controversy would not be expected to actually live up to any hype it had before hand but this one did.} 8/10

-FLCL: Alternative {
Oh yeah this was a thing} 7/10

-Zombieland Saga{
Got less good as it went on but not by that much.} 7/10

-Run with the Wind {
It makes me happy and I'm alright with it continuing into next season} 7/10

-Golden Kamuy Second Season {
It was still funny like season 1 but had better plot, I'm still not raising the score that much because the plot still could have been done way better. Less bears I guess.) 6/10

-The World in Colors {
The story was hardly there and the characters ended up being boring so I didn't really care but it was looking really great all throughout and had some good moments of emotion even if they hardly effected me, I can recognize it just wasn't my thing.} 6/10

-Sword Art Online: Alicitization {
So much rape. Worst SAO yet but I've seen more boring shows that have been worse.) 5/10

Fuck off.} 1/10
 
Hey is this the place to ask why I didn't get counted for 8 anime despite being caught up far as possible on ongoing anime for the fall challenge?
 
I'm up to date on "That time I was reincarnated as a slime" but it hasn't counted towards my challenge. I'm stuck at 7!

Castlevania season 2 - 9/10 A generally awesome show, and better then season 1.
That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime - 9/10 so far The biggest surprise I've had in a long time, a very entertaining show.
Space Battleship Tiramisu Zwei - 4/10 It was worse then season 1, and I wouldn't watch a third season even as list filler.
