What made or ruined your day?

WRMD: Watching Russian police kick a woman in the stomach so hard during the Navalny protests that she flies back, hits her head on the asphalt and has to be sent to the hospital. Almost smashed my smartphone against the wall when I saw that. Fucking animals.

Good for you. I wish I was drunk.
Thank you, and I too wish you were drunk comrade, maybe enough to wake up and watch a noir instead of sleeping more. But more so to sleep and wake up without the world feeling a bit crooked.

Ouzo reminds me of Strupo.

WRMD: I hate my job. I knew it was going to be shit, and it is shit. And I loathe every minute of it. I have to keep reminding myself I'm only doing this to get something on my CV and earn some money while I'm at it, but it's losing effect. Everything is shit. This whole lockdown is shit, and I really am losing my mind already. At this point I honestly think I'd rather die of covid than of my nerves eating me from the inside.

So this actually happened to me a few days ago, but I forgot to post it here. It's kind of a long story, so I'm going to put it in a spoiler tag.
For some background context, as some of you know, I've been waiting MANY years to have another dog, but due to several physical/mental diagnosis' I have, I can't just have ANY kind of dog; it needs to have the right temperament, training, etc, and it needs to be able to calm me down during anxiety attacks, for example. I've been looking into service dogs, but for the specific kind I would need, they're extremely expensive... So my family and I have been at a loss on what to do, until a few days ago.

Basically, we had a 2+ hours long conversation with a really sweet guy who works with a lot of animal/pet organizations, as well as veterinary clinics & stuff like that. He told us that he'd ask the places he works at, and his friends that work with him if they know of any places that can either 1)tell us a local-ish place to get a service dog that doesn't cost an arm & a leg, or 2)tell us some local reputable places that sell puppies/dogs that would work for my personal needs. If it comes down to option 2, then he hopes he (or his friends) can help us find a trainer so that we can train it to become a service dog.

Whilst I'm extremely excited, I'm also nervous because deep down there's this sinking "too good to be true" feeling...

All in all, I just really hope it DOES become a reality this year, because I KNOW it'd help me with a lot of the anxiety I have, and personal issues I've been going through. It's...been too freaking long...too long...

WRMD: Just saw an ambulance pull up to my elderly neighbors house. :crying: </3
Known them for several years now, and they've always been wonderful to me & my family.

Edit/Update: One of them is fine, but as for his wife, we aren't sure yet.

Ruin: recently there was a llama murder. someone did a hit and run of my little llama. poor little guy, they calmed the guy and then later put the little guy to sleep. no one has stepped up to state who did it or what they saw, there was a police report but that's about all that can be done. we roamed about the place looking for any vehicles with any sort of damages, found none. so cruel.

WRMD: Technically I found this out yesterday, but I forgot to post here. Anyways, yesterday I found out my great aunt and great uncle both caught Covid. My great aunt fortunately had relatively mild symptoms and is now recovering. Unfortunately, my great uncle was not so lucky, got the Covid pneumonia, and had to go to the hospital (where he has been for several days). According to my great aunt's facebook post, it seems that my great uncle is starting to get better (though he is still in the hospital). That said, apparently Covid caused him to develop diabetes and there is a chance that he may have heart damage too.

They think they caught it from going to the grocery store, despite the fact that they took precautions. Apparently, they were exposed to Covid back in October but were lucky enough not to get it back then. Unfortunately, they ran out of luck this time. My mom think that maybe they caught the new more contagious strain. Mom also thinks that now great uncle will see reason and order groceries online from now on (like my parents do). Apparently, great uncle didn't want to spend extra money to pay to have groceries delivered. However, I'm sure that catching Covid and having to go to the hospital is ultimately much more expensive.

WRMD: This goddamn snowstorm. 6-8" after the 28" that fell on Monday. That's cool. I didn't want to get to work on time anyway.

WMMD: The liquor store was open even with all the snow. Ya boi is toasted even with all the bullshit falling from the sky right now.

WMMD/DMT: I found out that Hideyuki Kikuchi is going to make Omnibus volumes of the Vampire Hunter D Light Novels. :D
I gotta wait until the end of August to get the first one, but whatever.

WRMD: I keep getting saddled with situations that our staff at the bank has never encountered before, despite a combined 20 years of experience. And today I got tasked with solving a problem that the bank, as a whole corporation, has never dealt with before. Four hours of calling different departments, being placed on hold, and given the run-around by various "specialists" all to solve a domestic dispute/check fraud for some hunk-of-shit local balloon store with average monthly revenues of $3k. I don't get paid enough for this shit.

I woke up and remembered that I have to attend online classes

> ME, ALL DAY EVERYDAY

WRMD: For over a month now I've been working and training as someone who cares for lab monkeys and today was my third day managing four monkey rooms at once however to add to the stress, two of the rooms require special procedures (one of which has some pretty rowdy monkeys) to enter/re-enter, one of the rooms is the second largest monkey room, and the last has about 8 medications/treatments that need to be administered in the afternoon. Also finding out that my mom has become ill did not help my stress. Oh and tomorrow I have to do "cage wash" which is where we move new cages in, move the monkeys into the new cages, and then laboriously scrub down the room.

Considering last week I did my taxes and found out my returns are going to be very generous, I'm inclined to to return to my theory that, while I don't believe in a god, there seems to be some force in the universe that always tries to keep me as close to neutral as possible.

ironically this made my day, apparently I'm a bot because I'm active on the site with like/hate for characters, seen a lot, read a lot... yay! note I'm not a bot, I just seriously have one heck of a manga/anime addiction. it was great as an escape from my horrible childhood trauma and it continues to play a part in my enjoyment of something. so thanks for allowing us to block and/or delete stuff from our profile (comments)!

WMMD: The paycheck has risen. What do you know, the shit job might even be worth it. But I'm not used to having money. Like, at all.
