Yeah, Somali is super cute. For some reason though I think she's the kind of child that's a lot cuter when she's SLEEPING, rather than when in a talkative mood. But again, I don't like kids to begin with. Especially in anime when they make them overly cutesy like this, because cutesy usually just means annoying in anime.

This show isn't that bad I just don't think I'm the target audience, I guess.

Reminds me of that babysitter show.

Golem is moe

I really like this fantasy approach to a childcare series. Little weird found families are nice
 
Episode 1:

The manga have been on my to-read list for some time now but never really found the time. But after watching this premiere, I really need to check it out. This is my jam. Fantasy iyashikei with some good soothing music and pleasing scenery porn. Papa Golem also has a really badass deign and he's voiced by the ever smooth Daisuke Ono. Definitely looking forward to more.
 
yes!! I love this!! the first time I saw Somali I was already in love! I'm reading the manga and I love it too! And damn that gorgeous animation! I don't really know much about this studio but I love what hey did here gives a feel like Makoto Shinkai or Ghibli

I was trying to explain this show (as of episode 1) while very tired last night,and my mind just went "it's monster's inc but with pretty art".
 
This show is something else man.

Already hitting me with the feels at the second episode. This might be my AOTS of 2020.

I haven't talked much about this anime in particular, but something about Somali and the Forest Spirit that lured me in, is the atmosphere it gives off. The world in here is beautiful, yet surreal. There has been no anime I've watched so far that gives off this certain vibe. And that's saying something. Well, I've only watched like 100+ anime, so take these words with a grain of salt.

The opening and the ending song is also amazing. And the ending CG, God I wish there were more studio who does CG that doesn't look jarringly bad.

10/10 for me.
 
Episode 2;
When Somali was helping out the assistant guy I was on the edge of my seat. Those scenes were supposed to be relaxing and all but I was so anxious, thinking Somali's hood would fall off anytime because she's running all over the place and doing all kinds of shit. Though that little oni might actually has an idea as implied in the end. But still sheesh. That lingering sense of dread she'll be outed as a human anytime and anywhere won't be good for my heart.
