As someone who played the visual novel, yeah her arc in the anime was weak compared to the arc for the other female characters, but even then her VN route compared to the routes of the other characters didn't nearly emotionally move me as much and was rather generic.
She is not very relatable or original in comparison to all the other girls. She was really rushed in the anime so that certainly didn't help.
She could have been so good. They only gave her one episode to show her stuff, and frankly her family situation was the least original of the backstories for the bunch. I cannot say I hate her as a person, but she was definitely the worst girl, with Kazuki very close behind. She was just a poor character.
