Yoruichi is the former captain of the second protection squad and previous commander of the covert ops. Though she is a member of the noble Shihouin family, Yoruichi acts little like a princess and not only demonstrates more masculine traits but also enjoys teasing people at times. She is highly intelligent and witty, and she has the ability to transform herself into the form of a black cat when the occasion arises. She is a master at hand-to-hand combat as well has being exceptionally skilled at the flash step.

She's just perfect, she's fit as hell, funny, and hey, I'm a cat person. I'm telling you, anime is in desperate need of more dark skinned girls.
I flipping love her. She's hilarious and kickass without being bitchy or beating up the male protagonists for no reason (I hate it when girls do that).

She's awesome, though sometimes I miss her early cat persona in the deep male voice.
Absolutely adore the character of Shihouin Yoruichi, one of my favourite female characters in all anime. Both strong and yet playful at the same time with a wicked sense of humor. Shame she doesn't appear much after the soul society & bounto sagas in the anime.
