My personal favourite character in the story, he's just a guy, sure he has military training but he's not elite or impressive as he mostly works as a detective and it is implied that he was mainly a desk jockey, but even when he knows he doesn't stand a chance and he's really scare he stands his ground and is willing to fight.
Basically his confrontation with King Bradley really won me over, he was entertaining since he does get a few funy moments but seeing him trembling knowing he's going to die but still facing King Bradley made him just that bit special, it's good he was saved but he refusal to back down whenhe believed he was the last line of defense was a really good moment.
