Oh, Tessa. I have a great fondness for her. Both her manner and her voice are quite lovely and I can't help but smile when she starts playing with her own braid when stressed or in deep thought. She's also by far the most intelligent character out of the main cast. On top of it all, she's a submarine captain that manages to be an effective leader while maintaining her feminine manner the entire time.
Quite a woman... well, if she was real. Alas.
Oh, and she's also a cute and silly ditz, thus evoking my 'must protecc' instincts. Oh, Tessa. :3
