Side note, he broke down crying according to the novels after his nanny got attacked right after he saved Miyuki after which she started treating him like a human. Pretty remarkable display for someone with supposedly no emotions. The operation that supposedly destroyed his emotions happened when he was 6 well before the event he saved Miyuki in when he was about 13.
He isn't op and does have emotions though the author supposedly said he doesn't yet he wrote him have emotional reactions in the novels. I can list quite a few characters as strong or stronger than Tatsuya or at least quite a few he shows fear or for those who think he's emotionless, reluctant to fight. A few examples: the 50 strategic class mages; the sages; Maya; Retsu; Miramar; and Kokonoe just to name a few for those that think he's totally op. PS. Agreed, Mayumi is his perfect match being the ONLY person to ever see him as a person or of value upon first meeting. (No, not Miyuki, believe it or not, she treated him like trash in the past from first meeting on).

I love him, Godsuya is one of the best anime characters ever.
