i want to hate him but hes funny af
He's a cool character but the way people be excusing his cheating and acting like Maka is being cruel for reasonably not being the happiest kid to be around someone that cheated on her father constantly is bizarre, especially cause I know for a fact that if she got over him cheating and pushed it to the side the same people that complain about how she treats her dad would turn around and say she is a typical shonen female with no agency or backbone. Like if Maka was male I don't think ya'll would be letting Spirit slide. Double-standards man smh.

I'm sorry but... people who repeatedly cheat on their partners do not love them. And Maka is completely justified to hate him because he's a horrible dad and a horrible husband with little regard to others and the people he "loves".
