I don't understand why anime-planet uses 'gender' instead of 'sex' and refuses to put the actually gender the character identifies with. It's not a spoiler, especially when that's what the series is based on.
Moderators may not see it as transphobic, but by definition it blantantly is. Flat-out refusing to use correct pronouns for anyone, real or fake, is without purpose and just invalidating. Identities shouldn't be open for debate.
Maybe cissexist is a better word.
Also really, Athrine? A gay boy? So everyone who doesn't conform to assigned sex must be super-duper gay. Okay, sorry that your privileged 'manliness' is challenged by trans*people's struggles.
