In the next movie, Havenfeel 2017, either they change the character to different face, voice actor, perhaps name, put some maturity in his personality or i will stop watching. "This guy have no charm or what so ever lesser or equal to archer's personality, compare to saber", -->protagonist need deserving male lead with some sort of quality. Have a lookback fate zero, his father(Kiritsugu)made huge memorable leads till the end with sweet/sad memories. This guy Shirou made it too, unforgetable recycle garbage that when i hear "FATE/STAY night", euuu, his face come up first and that how it is. Worst of the worst. Level of Stupidity, Childish, Feminie this is the characteristics that only teen girls like. This guy with Saber? Fu'eeeee. I am not talking if he has face like "Light or Sebastian".Need to be deserve when u are with saber.
I wasn't too fond of him in the first Fate/Stay Night. But I quite liked him in Unlimited Bladeworks... And for some reason, I like him most in Fate/Kaleid...
Reason why I like him is like Koyomi Araragi, he brings out the best in the girls around him. The female leads and side characters are definitely great on their own as well, but giving them the edge of a male party truly lets them shine in their own different ways. For that, I like Shiro. He may not be the best character I've ever seen, nor would I ever think he ever will be. But regardless he's gone through some shit that probably is still noble.
Eh. Maybe I gave him too much credit. Whatever. An opinion is an opinion after all.

One of the best written characters I've ever seen .If anyone thinks he isn't well-written ,fight me .I'm on my profile and waiting .
