The childhood friend who was basically written out of the story early on. It's kind of sad that she wasn't used to much effect for the story. Though she does get one last scene in the manga, apologizing for the whole "Sadako" thing... Just from her attitude, it kind of seems like she doesn't really want a relationship with Sawako. Or maybe it's more like she doesn't want to be close friends, but casual hallway friends is fine.
