Seryu UBIQUITOUS

I don't hate Seryu for killing Shelle (Hell, she is just as bland as Tatsumi >.>) No, I'm fine if a villain kills off a character. What I hate is how she is a poor excuse of a well-intentioned extremist!

Let's compare her to Akainu.

Akainu, despite going too far, is ultimately trying to do greater good. Sure, blowing up Ohara is uncalled for, but he only wants to protect the people. Killing Ace makes sense, as he was Gol D. Roger's son, and understandably, someone like Akainu would wanna get rid of someone who decided to be like his father. Even if he is a bastard, his actions ultimately end up saving the world. Hell, Akainu has shown to have standards and doesn't always blindly follow the Gorosei! (Heck, he even calls them out at one point!)

Seryu? Not so much. Sure she can use that little justice card all she wants, but she is really just psycho. I'd more blame Takahiro's inability to write gray morality, because it shows! Seryu is nothing more a crazy bitch that throws laughable attempts at scary faces at the audience. Her actions don't save the world in any way (If she is just following orders from the Emperor and doing her job, why the hell was she smiling when she massacred a village without a second thought? Seemed like she enjoyed it way more than she should! All the other Jaegars had standards!), and unlike Jaegars like Bols (who is one of the better characters of Akame ga Kill), she never questions them, never has any standards. (Bols had the excuse of it being his job and how it supports his family, and even then, he does show a lot of regret.) Even if she wasn't supposed to be an extremist (Honestly Takahiro is very inconsistant in whether he wants the Empire to be gray or not), she is not very interesting as a villain. Sure, I'll admit her powers are cool (Koro was pretty unique for an Imperial and her weaponized body would of been awesome and pretty amusing, had she been a better character), but she is just like every other villain in Akame ga Kill. Over-the-top psychos that aren't interesting or entertaining and have little to no depth to them.

What I find hilarious is that Seryu is hated more as a character than the Prime Minister XD, when he's the prime culprit for all the corruption and Seryu is just a soldier fulfilling her duties but because she killed Sheele and has a Cheshire grin whenever she fights, she's the true devil of this series LOL. This reminds me of how much hate Akainu received just because he killed Ace.

Really all this hate that she gets is unjustified and ridiculous.
