Sasuke is a genius young ninja who graduated at the top of his class from the Konoha Academy. He is the last surviving member of his family, the Uchiha clan, except for his older brother, Itachi. Sasuke is driven by his hatred for Itachi, his desire for revenge, and his intention to kill his sibling. Though his cool demeanour and egotistical confidence in himself means that he doesn’t seem particularly social, Sasuke cares about his friends.

As much as I hate the character, I agree, the emo tag should even been taken out of the database (at the very best, it should had the tag whiner)!
I totally agree with NekoKriszty, Sasuke may be a dark character but by no means is he emo. Tagging him as emo is just going along with popular fandom instead of the facts of the anime/manga. I second the motion that the emo tag should be removed. Also for the fact that (again like said above) Sasuke really does know true pain, emo's just think they do and then go feeling bad for themselves about nothing. Nor are they proactive. Sasuke is a VERY proactive character, when have you ever seen him just sit around and be like "My life sucks"? No, he's usually doing something about it unlike emos. Other than the anger thing, Sasuke has NO similarities to an emo and that tag should undoubtedly be removed.
Whoever gave him the "emo" categorization, take it back, please. Sure, Sasuke's a nut case and lately neglects to use his brain at ALL, but he's not emo. Emos are apathetic, they are sad because they believe they know life and realize how much it sucks, they listen to lots of music, read lots of poetry and have a general style of clothing and makeup.
Sasuke wears no make-up, his appearance is no weirder than any other ninja's in this series, he has goals, he KNOWS true pain, he expresses emotions (mostly hate and anger, but before the time-skip, there was more), and all he does are things that lead to his goals.
Of course, these were just the cold facts nobody can deny. If one looks at his character shallowly, you will see an overconfident, dark, annoying brat who think he is better than that.
If you look underneath the underneath, you will notice that Sasuke cares about his teammates - he's the one who offered food to a starving Naruto, he's the one who saves him whenever he's in a pinch, he's the one who pushed both his teammates to become better, he's the one willing to sacrifice his own flesh, blood and life to save his friends. His attitude often mistaken to stuck-up is simply one that has no tolerance to idiocy and wasting time.
Face it - if it weren't for Sasuke, Naruto would never have pushed himself to become better than his rival, and Sakura would never have become the great healing ninja she is.
Of course, since Sasuke became too popular, Kishimoto was forced to remove him for a time, and to do that, had to make him betray everything his character involved up until that point. I can just hope that Sasuke one day will be portrayed as he used to be when he was still a member of Team 7.
