Here's why I think he's public enemy #1, if you will:
1) Like it or not, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden are immensely commercially successful and widely well known. Whie I do enjoy Naruto, I will admit that it is nowhere near the cream of the anime crop, and the fact that it has been drawn out for over 10 years with fillers and a sequel series is absurd. The rabid fan following that perpetuates this madness has likely drawn the ire of many anime watchers, resulting in the indictment of characters like Sasuke and Sakura (who's ranked #2).
2) It's hard for people who haven't watched Shippuden to grasp how much of an entitled prick Sasuke is

To me, it seems like he's just looking for a reason to be pissed off. Sure, his brother killed off his entire clan, but even after Itachi is gone, he still isn't done with his quest for revenge and power. He bosses his Taka team members around like they're dirt, and even shoots through one of them when she's taken hostage. He simply thinks he's better than everyone else and doesn't deserve to suffer, which probably came from his Uchiha heritage, his proficiency at ninjutsu, and everyone telling him how great he was at a very young age. He even goes so far as to remind Naruto that he "never had any family" so therefore he can't understand Sasuke's struggles. That's self-righteous and low.

Even Sasuke is a jerk sometimes but he's still one of a few characters that i like in Naruto
i dont get why so many people hating on Sasuke... There a billions on more horrible characters then him that diserve #1....
At First I Didn't Like Sasuke But The More The Anime/Manga Went On The More I Understood Where Sasuke Was Coming From :) So I Like Sasuke Now
