Sara WEREC makes for a pretty bland, unlikable, and flatly-characterized main protagonist in her series. While her concept isn't bad, the potential is ultimately wasted, particularly in the last few episodes of the anime.

In the first episode, Sara was a cheerful, optimistic girl who became traumatized after her friends were killed and the killer turned out to be her older brother Ralph WEREC. After that experience, Sara became a emotionless, stoic, and introverted person who wants to understand why her once kind older brother became evil. Seems like an interestng idea, right? Well, sadly, that was ultimately trashed.

The problem with Sara is just how convoluted her motivations are. For much of the series, she states that she wants to first undertsand why her brother became a villain before doing anything, but then suddenly (in Episode 9), she suddenly states that she wants to kill Ralph even though she doesn't know the truth behind his actions. In Episode 10, she learns that her brother wasn't evil but merely corrupted and brainwashed by an Emily, which makes it clear for her to know what to do and now, she knows why her brother's personality seemingly changed. Unfortunately, after that scene, she literally blames Ralph for all the horrible things that happened in the series and says that everything is all his fault, even though it's clearly not. What's worse is that in the last episode of the series, she remorselessly kills her own brother and doesn't seemingly show any symapthy or even acknowledge the fact that he's still the same kindhearted person he once was (Ralph's last line right before he dies proves it). Sara's motivation to kill her brother is unreasonable and it makes her come off as poorly-written. Also, her relationship with Emily in the series becomes very uninteresting, forgettable, and unsympathetic by the end of the series.

Sara Werec is a no nonsense protagonist driven soley by her goals.  She doesn't get distracted by the imbeciles around her.  She is all business and that's why i like her.

sometimes memorable heroes need or turn to bad guy in order to do the right things for that betrayel or blood need to share. In the end, we know bad guy will die but its worth to die by own bro or sis who need to rebalance what is call "peace".
