Love this side character. Stoic, intelligent, mysterious.
Have big impact to to Tooru's chara development.
Her flashbacks are so heartbreaking.
Best girl xx. Also, where's the "stoic" tag ?
Best girl
I love her design, best design character. She also gives me Wednesday vibes from the Adam's family.
What I always loved about Fruits Basket is the fact that it gives its side characters a background, personality as well as a little focus and lets them play a role in the story, and this is so surprising considering it's a show that, although it contains a nice plot with the animal transformation and the curse and all, it can still be considered as a slice of life series, and many of those do not give the attention needed to the secondary cast, making them feel useless, unnecessary and irrelevant.
Saki is one of the most enjoyable side characters I've ever seen in Anime. Yes, it can be said that she consists of that dark and edgy stereotype that you may meet quite a few times in many shows, but the difference here is that she's so well-represented and her personality is there, even if it involves around specific characteristics. She's given a background, one from which you can learn to sympathize with her and see how well-connected she is with the rest of the cast.
My point, Saki is not a random side character who is a friend of the MC, rather than an influential person in the story, even if it's just a little. I love her!
