It’s based on the plays, by the way; Shakespeare's plays were not historically accurate, he was an entertainer- not a historian. Will you bitch about every little aspect of those that never happened? Man is not a sex, and intersex people aren't mystical menwomen, they're regular men or women with chromosomal, hormonal, genital, and/or gonadal defects. I like how you hated the character too, probably only for the reason that he was born with a birth defect in the story and somehow that bothers you. Genuinely for a moment imagine being butthurt over one potentially inaccurate element of a fantastical story based on the old equivalent of a historical tv drama, of all things.
