Like most of the best characters he embodies so many traits of the human condition. His back story that we know is pretty heartbreaking. He is so deserving of love but finds little to none until he finds Sion. Even then he doesn't let Sion past the walls he has built around his heart.

He reminds me of Rokudo Mukuro from KHR a bit.
I like his singing voice.
