After reading the manga, I can say without a doubt that Souma is beyond damaged. She is a monster, killing without remorse and reveling in the act. Souma is also a two-faced whore who will do anything to get her way. Her past is a tragic nightmare, true. But it doesn't make her any less of a villain.
