I pity her situation, but feels like it's kinda dumb attributes to be honest, well the series is title after the protagonist, but mindset is a no no, trying to get on his character and mindset but still find her dumb.
I'm risking getting attacked here but IIVIU has a point. I've spent enough time in Japan to notice the many inequalities and injustices which continue simply because the general public choose to look the other way (not everyone of course).
However, Miko is just a teenage girl in a horror anime and she wasn't trying to make a political statement in Ep5. She was cleverly acknowledging to Yulia that she sees ghosts without actually saying it directly.
