Deleted my old comment cause my opinion has changed and I don't like to comment multiple times.
He's an absolute terrible father, but it seems like Fuutaro helped him see a new light, and after watching the movie I actually started to like him... somewhat. Still don't like how his ignorance completely tore the family apart and Fuutaro had to be the dad instead of him. It also interesting how he's pretty much used as the antagonist (In a way).
