80% of her dialogue: "Yuji..." (yes, the ellipsis are mandatory). You will grow to hate that name, purely because of Marlene bleating it at every given opportunity.
As for her character... it jarringly alternates somewhere between badass bitch and princess in distress, based on plot convenience.
With time, she does change into something resembling a likable and coherent character but... by the gods, it takes her a long time to get there.
I love her character
as a kid i had the hots for this anime char XD
She is one of the very few anime characters who doesn't have side burns.
