Just an ordinary relatable main character. Literally nothing amazing about him but that is obviously intentionally done by the writer.
Though sadly the writing is not nearly good enough to make the advantages of a "basic protagonist" as noticeable as in other Anime, but it's not bad either, so I guess it's fine.
Probably one of the most relatable mcs in anime. Dude was tired of his life and wanted to explore smth new I respect that
