Kogoro is Ran’s father and a retired police officer that now works as a private detective. Unfortunately, he isn’t particularly good at his job and his deductions are normally way off mark. Kogoro is a heavy drinker and can often be found sitting in his office drinking beer while watching TV. He is also somewhat of a ladies man and is always ogling any nearby female; Kogoro is also rather obsessed with the popular idol, Yoko Okino.

The reason he win on haters number probably because he's "DAME NA OYAJI". Like he always gambling, heavy drinker, childish even though he's an adult, opposite to Conan that really mature who know when to act childish to get a hint. But his good spot is that he really care for his family.
Usually I'd hate characters like him but he's funny and manages to be a good father and you can tell that he really loves his family
The second movie seriously shows a different side of him that I like so much that it's practically impossible for me to hate him. Plus some of his other moments throughout the series but more later on
He's a great comic relief and then had some AMAZING character moments in episodes 150-151.
I really hate him but tbh sometimes he's actually a good father. Please i want him to treat his wife better they're really cute ngl the second movie show more his good side
