I loved this girl, she overcame so much and damn, i was proud of her. I didn't mind she didn't end up with Satoru, pretty realistic that she didn't wait for him, they were children, they weren't in love and she was obviously, very grateful to him and cared for him as a friend.
I am fully justifying her for not waiting 15 years. The issue is not about 15 years, it is about whether she should've waited or not. Sure, she could've waited if she wanted. But she didn't need to, because—
1. She and Satoru weren't even in a relationship. Stop calling her his girlfriend. They were only 11 for God's sake.
2. Do you expect to want a girl for 15 years for someone who went to a coma when they were 11 when they weren't exactly in love just because he saved her life? Do you think it's reasonable? Grow up!
Sure, if they were adults or a married couple, it would've definitely made me happy if the girl had waited. And lastly, I will say this, Satoru has more chemistry with Airi than Kayo. Now I rest my case.
I'm sorry, but the people that commented hate towards Kayo on this page solely due to her ending up with someone else sound like borderline incels. It was an elementary school crush, she moved away, and the MC was in a coma for almost 20 years. If you seriously think helping someone of the opposite gender in need when you're like 11 or 12 is an automatic obligation for them to be your lover when you get older, then I feel sorry for your future friends and partners.
