I don't know why but I love this brat.

He's my favourite character. Why? Because I understand him. When he was a kid, he would always see Deku as an inferior, a follower. As Bakugo got his quirk, the feeling of superiority amplified. Please note that he was just a kid, he's not completely responsible for his actions. When Midoriya suddenly got to his level years later, he felt destroyed. The reason of that is that he was so used to being on top of him, that when Midoriya simply tried to apply to U.A, he perceived it as a challenge. And he felt insulted by that. During their time in U.A, Bakugo was a witness of how Deku got stronger and stronger each day. He felt weak. Seeing the person you had bullied for years in the eye, at the same level, must be very intimidating I believe. He had an internal war, thinking of what he had done wrong. It was unfair that Deku could receive a quirk out of nowhere and make it his own in so little time, he thought. He felt inferior, a feeling he had never experienced all these years knowing Midoriya. It's like a character in a video game unexpectedly getting a buff, a buff that puts him at the same level as other characters. A character that was so easy to beat suddenly getting at the same level as you, can feel quite ugly. When Midoriya refuses to fight in some circumstance, Bakugo feels unimportant, like Deku doesn't care about winning against him. Instead of feeling at the same level as Midoriya, Bakugo felt looked down upon.

Leaving that aside, Bakugo is also a very entertaining character to watch. Even though he is an asshole most of the time, he was able to make me laugh more than once. His explosive personality is definetely necessary among the characters to make everything more enjoyable in my opinion. Also I'd like to add that a character with little to no exposure of their real emotions, or bad personality traits make them shine more when actually expressing their emotions or doing positive things(making good teamwork for example), making the watcher/reader feel a sudden sense of empathy with the character.

I fucking hate Bakugou. He is nothing but a hypocritical and pathetic asshole who bullies Midorya. The author's wishy-washy and idiotic reasons aren't enough to to justify this piece of garbage and his superiorit. This asshole claims that Deku looks down on him when it's the exact opposite. What a fucking hypocrite. And to think that so many people love this irredemable piece of trash. I mean he ranks #1 in every poll even when he wasn't even relevant for the last 100 chapters. Everyone in his class and the fanbase suck his dick and act like he's the "best" character in the show when he's not. He is far from complex, relatable or well-written and is a terrible character overall. He is by far the worst character in the series. Unless something is done with this raging retard, I couldn't care less about him and I hope that dies.

Still hate Bakugou even to this very day. I don't care if he had "character development", he still reverts back to an abusive jerk to everyone every now and then. I like/love certain morally ambiguous and villainous characters, but only if they are executed well and written poorly to grasp at sympathy.

If you want to make a sympathetic antagonistic character, do it right. Don't have them be an absolute jerk to the point where they are deemed irredeemable. Have them show their sympathetic side more often and have them change visibly.

Bakugou is a perfect example of how NOT to write a good antagonistic character.
