She was totally badass after turning into a Hime. Best villain.
I found Hokuto to be the best part of Corpse Princess and personally one of my all time favourite female anime characters, next to Shiro from Deadman Wonderland, Lucy from Elfen Lied and Yuno from Mirai Nikki.
