even though hide isn't a main character, i think he might be my favorite in tokyo ghoul. i can go on and on about why i admire hide so much, but i'm gonna try to keep it short. when kaneki needs someone most, hide's there for him. hide puts kaneki above himself even if he could hurt himself doing so. he's very smart and observant, knowing that kaneki is a ghoul in the first season but acting like he had no idea. even though he knows kaneki is a ghoul his attitude towards him doesn't change at all, he's still very caring and gives kaneki space when he needs it. he's also very optimistic even at times of fear. even the best people have some flaws but i surprisingly haven't seen hide display any negative traits whatsoever. i'd like to see why some people don't like hide, i can't think of any reasons why anyone should dislike him. hide is a true friend, and i think everyone needs a friend like hide.
