Idk why so many people try to say the black magic on him was a justification for his neglect. Cuz like, he put that spell on himself. Willingly. Now, was his judgment clouded cuz he was heartbroken. Yea. But also every part of that was still his very own decision (nobody tricked him, nobody coerced him, etc). He knew he had an infant daughter yet he still did it. Also, he coldly murdered all the innocent women of the Ruby Palace under that black magic spell's impacts, but the story never gives him any consequences for that which is just weird lol. Like, he made his personal heartbreak EVERYONE'S issue lmao 😭
For those who hate claude, you should remember that in the original timeline he ha literally lost his feelings because of black magic. Furthermore, he had forgotten both Diana and Athy. He only accepted Jeanette because he didn't have headaches around her.
people who talk crap about him did not read the story, i think using black magic does justify his previous insanity (although it's kind of a cheap way to do so) but he is well written overall
