Best girl, her character was always so complex, loved her backstory and development in the manga a lot! Can't wait to see it in the current adaptation. She and Yoh are also a very underrated anime couple.
I hate Anna Kyoyama because she has high emotional complexity of complete levels, with complex attitudes and actions, has high levels of Tsundere, antipathy of high levels, with extremely high obsessions and ambitions.
Anna is my favorite character in Shaman King!
She appears to be a bossy and lazy character but there's more to it than that.
The girl isn't your typical heroine that directly shows her affection towards the MC (in this anime it's Yoh).
If you watch the anime even in the early stages of it, there are some scenes that she indeed shows some concern not only to Yoh but to the other characters as well (but mostly to Yoh).
It's just that she's not an expressive character, by usually showing a deadpan face.
You can only know her thoughts and sentiments through her actions.
Yoh and Anna fit perfectly together as they both have opposing personalities, with Yoh being a laidback character and Anna being the strict and intimidating one.
This chick's so cool. She and her "Takes crap from no one with no fucks given" attitude were fun in both Butsu Zone and Shaman King.
I don't know why so many people like her. I always found her insufferable, like worse than torture.
Shes cruel, abusive, bossy, spoilt, selfish, nasty, ugh I could go on for a long time with this. Maybe its because I always saw Yoh as my Anime best friend and felt sorry for him having to deal with such a stone cold b*tch; when he was so chill, calm, cool and nice.
She outright states that she only got with him for the power it would give her. And am I the only one who found her crying scenes out of character? Like the creators realised there was no chemistry between them so wrote it in.
The whole series I was waiting for someone to stand up to her and not take her unreasonable sh*t anymore. But it seemed that no one would and why? Because they were afraid she would hit them... that is appalling! There's a word for being afraid to stand up to a family member because they will become physically violent and that word is Domestic Violence. Plain and simple Anna is a bully who gets her way through fear and intimidation.
