Just don't understand how he got into the school if my boy only speaks English. Wish we had more black characters with real personality.

I wish he had more of a personality rather than just being the "enforcer". Unfortunately I have to agree there seem to be some serious racial undertones with his character. It's disappointing we even have to have this discussion in 2022
Guy below, maybe big words are too complicated for you. I suggest looking up terms like "dehumanized" and more. They're not wrong about Japanese media, and really many other forms of media are guilty of this, being racist. If you can't understand why/how the way this character was presented is racist, maybe you're in need of going back to school, unless of course you are a child that is currently in school...
