Three years ago, mysterious portals opened, releasing terrifying monsters that decimated the world, and mankind, in only 7 days. Little is known of these creatures called Zillion of Enemy X - Z/X for short - except that they can be captured and used in battle with a special device. In the present, Asuka is a typical teen who lives in the peaceful city of Kobe, but his life changes forever when a mysterious shrine maiden hands him a Z/X capturing device, asking him to protect the world. And then, he runs across an injured Z/X angel...
This review might contain: Some minor spoilers Yay another review! So this time it's Z/X: Ignition! I have no idea why I decided to watch this title. Probably because the title itself sounds exciting and packed with action and amazing story... Um yeah. Let's begin STORY So the story is based on several characters defending a town from monsters known as Z/X. On first few episodes, the story seems promising but then... blah. Episodes 4-10 were very hard to watch, and it was so boring... (╯◕_◕)╯ One of the main antagonists is a giant monster who goes: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII for several episodes... how exciting is that? I read somewhere that the ending is bad but I don't agree. I don't think the ending is bad, it's more like: yeah okay. Since it's an open ending there might be a season 2 but yeah I don't think that's going to happen. So yeah in the end, the story is something between average and bad... *shrug* 5/10 ... not having mercy on this one. ANIMATION The animation is decent but there are some bad angles and sloppy scenes. Which is acceptable. There are not many things bad with the animation, therefore 7/10 SOUND The sound is good, I like the voice acting and all (especially the main characters accent) but I did notice there are several scenes where sound is completely out of sync. Which kind of annoyed me, so 7/10 CHARACTERS To be brutally honest, the whole characters thing in this anime is a HOT MESS, but again, for some reason I like that hot mess. SO. There's the main character, who's THE most awkward main character I have ever seen, also the rest of the characters are somewhat awkward with all the conversations (and sometimes bad angles aren't helping) But for some reasons I truly like them. There's the main guy, the angel, the cyborg human, the sick lolita, a tiny lolita, a normal lolita, a bad lolita... (just noticed there are 4 loli characters...yikes), the tiger thing, and a useless high school girl of course. So yeah, plenty to choose. I do like some of them, even though there are like two backstories and some of the characters are there for no good reason. *sigh* 9/10 because of originality. I have honestly never seen ALL the characters being awkward. I guess the person who wrote this is shy or doesn't leave his room. OVERALL So did I like this anime in the end? N....N....NGH... YEEES (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ I'm not sure if I can explain why. Even though some of the episodes were extremely hard to watch, and even though some of the dialogue made me shiver, I still enjoyed watching this title. I would recommend this anime to anyone who hates relating to characters because trust me you won't relate on any of these lol. In the end, Is this a bad anime? No. Is this a title that I'll remember in two years? No. But whatevs (~￣▽￣)~ THANK YOU for reading this (so far the most) unprofessional review! I hope you find it either helpful or entertaining! ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ
