The zombies portrayed in Zombie Loan are very similar to Hollows in Bleach in my eyes. Lost souls turning good by being hunted seems to be a common theme in both.

neutrino neutrino says...

The storylines in these two are quite similar--the main character has an ability that is utilized to put "undead" souls (or Hollows) to rest. As they find out more about this alternate world, they find the strength to fight for themselves and what they believe in.

CrazyAce01 CrazyAce01 says...

Both Bleach and Zombie-Loan focus on the use of spiritual powers to eliminate supernatural enemies.  While Bleach is much more involved in the subject, Zombie-Loan also has a unique take on the higher, heavenly organization and how it effects humans back in the normal world.  If you loved Bleach you will appreciate Zombie-Loan; if you found Zombie-Loan interesting I guarentee you will like Bleach.

hamletsmage hamletsmage says...

Both Bleach and Zombie-Loan utilize the theme of fighting lost souls. The "zombies" and the "hollows" are very similar, and it is the job of the protagonists to fight them. Both Ichigo and Michiru get drafted into the fight after showing signs of spiritual abilities.

Cetonis Cetonis says...

Zombie Loan and Venus Versus Virus are each anime about a pair of fighters working together against an undead sort of threat. The characters in both pairs are defined individuals, and far from immune to quarreling with their partner. The two groups also have to deal with solving some level of conspiracy by their enemies, despite the short length of the shows. To top it off, both series have a noticeably gothic theme to them. The fact that one pair is male and the other female does give off a slightly different dynamic, but all the same if you liked one of these series don't be afraid to look into the other.

neutrino neutrino says...

Both series have very similar premises--ordinary-turned-fighter characters battling supernatural entities and working to pay off a debt of sorts.  The characters also have equivalents in each show--the older man who runs the business, the office helper, and the fighters themselves.

KiraRin KiraRin says...

Both silly and frivilous, these two shows try to take themselves far too seriously and never really get anywhere with it. With serious potential bubbling beneath the surface, I felt like there was a lot more could be happening that didn't.

That said, if you enjoy the numerous gun battles in either show, and a twist of the evil, then these two shows will appeal to the same group of fans.

If you like anime about bounty hunters with a touch of comedy and a great story, you'd like Zombie Loan and Black Cat. The characters travel around the world, discover new places, get stronger, and get both themselves and other people out of trouble.

Magicalflyingcow Magicalflyingcow says...

These two animes both involve bounty hunting. In Zombie-Loan they hunt for zombies and in Black Cat they hunt for criminals. Both of them have a great plot and they both have little bits of comic relief. They both seem to pull of being quirky and serious at the same time. If you liked one of them you'll love the other. They're a must see.

JerichoxBarrons JerichoxBarrons says...

Both main characters, Chika and Train act the same and look similar. Both are about mysteries and solving crimes.

This one is one of those gut feeling recs. Shikabane is slightly more serious, and the monsters more disturbing, but I believe that if you like Zombie Loan, you might want to give Shikabane a try.

ZetsumeiTsumi ZetsumeiTsumi says...

Like the undead protagonists that destroy the artificial versions of what they truly are?  Zombie-Loan and Shikabane Hime have a lot in common and there's more than enough monster-killing carnage in one or the other to keep you hooked!

Sheila Sheila says...

Both the plots are in a way similar and both series deal with undead fighting other undead. In Shikabane Hime, the Himes fight to defeat 108 Corpses to ascend to heaven, in Zombie-Loan, the zombies fight other zombies to pay off their loans. In both series we can find a person who is at first more or les unaware of what is happening and decides at last to join in the fight and help their undead friends.

Cetonis Cetonis says...

Both Zombie-Loan and Hatenkou Yuugi are supernatural action series with a bit of a shoujo angle, focusing on a lead girl with some kind of power and her two male fighter companions. HY obviously lacks that peach-pit style featured in ZL, but it does have a better lead in Rahzel. Oh, and they each have one of those "go read the manga" endings. If you found yourself liking one of these, go ahead and give the other a look.

midnightspike101 midnightspike101 says...

zombie loan and hatenkou yuugi both have action and some shoujo in them. both have to strong male characters who always seem to fight over nothing and one female character. while in HY the female lead is more outgoing in ZL the female lead is important and sometimes outgoing. if you enjoyed one you will enjoy the other

hotspot hotspot says...

Both anime star a trio, one girl and two guys, each character has their own abilities. The two guys are more of the warriors and defenders, the girl can handle herself in some way as well. (Although the lead in Hatenkou Yuugi is more capable of defending herself than the girl in Zombie Loan.)

Both shows have the same kind of group dynamic and touch of comedy.

Both Zombie Loan and Get Backers are about a duo of two unlikely partners brought together by a common goal, as they both work unusual jobs by today's standards to earn some cash.

KiraRin KiraRin says...

Zombie Loan is a highly underrated series that holds a lot of similarities with Get Backers. They both have a very similar comedy/seriousness balance that is used well.

If you enjoy the unsual pairing and ensuing hilarity of Ban-chan and Ginji in Get Backers, you will love the relationship between Chika and Shito.

Both have some exciting action scenes, interesting characters and look at the true value of friendship. Just a shame Zombie Loan was so short and almost cut off in its prime...

In both Zombie-Loan and Ghost Hunt the main characters have a mysterious past that gives them their strength and strange abilities. Both of these anime features killing those undead. It have some action scene and also comedy which make both of them not so serious. The most important is there is gun shot and also sword fight. So...slash away~~~

Both anime involve an agency that deals in the elimination of supernatural forces (zombies or demons). With a mixture of gunfights and sword fights, the action sequences are rather similar. And Dante (Devil) has a very similar personality to Chika (Zombie).
