Both series are your standard kiddy shounens with a monster of the week type plot with lots and lots of main character hax and plot armours.

It's not necessary to watch all the previous seasons as they start from THE VERY BEGINNING in explainations of how everything works.

Both of these are colorful shounen series about children (and some adults) who complete against one another using a popular game. Both main characters are new to the game and must learn how to play it before they start getting serious; they also both have annoying catch-phrases. Because these are both new series, I think they are a better match over older generations.

Now, the duo, along with other friends, must race and battle in transforming cars to put a stop to the evil organization Zenon's plans.

If you liked either Zexal or Gyrozetter, then you might like the other because both star hot headed protagonists who try to do their best despite the odds, and have to learn to work in a team in order to fight against villains. Gyrozetter tends to be more episodic than Zexal, but overall, both are shounen genre kid's shows with colorful animation, over-the-top battle sequences and effects, and silly jokes in between.
