Yosuga no Sora: In Solitude, Where We Are Least Alone - Reviews

though this anime contained an incestuous arc, i really enjoyed. it did make me sad from here and there. this anime is close to my heart. i was even more sad that Haruko and Sora actually died in the end.(the scenes after they drowned - they were actually dead. i guess they didn't want us to think so)

Possible SPOILERS: 

Main people are a guy Haru and his twin sister Sora. Sora was sick as a child and in the hospital most of the time so she's not very social especially now that's she's older and has a very unhealthy obsession with Haru. Their parents passed away so they moved back to their hometown and while Haru TRIES to have a normal life he can't bc of Sora's crazy possessiveness.

This series goes in arcs since it's based off of a game so while Haru does sleep with most of the girls it's basically a 'what if' type scenario for each one. Each girl gets 3-4 episodes. Luckily I checked out reviews before watching so I knew about the arcs or I might have been pretty confused why none of the girls got mad about Haru sleeping with all of them. Lol.

I liked Haru and felt like he tried to have this somewhat normal life while dealing with Sora who would call him 24/7 if they were a part and got mad if another girl was around. She didn't just get mad she threw things and threw tantrums plus she's manipulative. It's hard to believe she's not way younger than him the way she acts. Sora was the MOST ANNOYING character in the whole anime and it really made me not enjoy the main stories as much as I could have. But Haru catered to her way too much most of the time so it's partially his fault she got away with her hissy fits. I really disliked her!!! Lol.

I know this story has incest in it but I knew that going in and many of the reviews rant and rave about that A LOT but it says that - IF you check out the genres. So why people are flying off the handle about that is beyond me. They should have avoided any anime that says 'incest' anywhere in the genre or topic if they get so triggered by it. I for one watch animes of all kinds and take them for what they are - fantasy. I don't take them that serious fr. **Also, it's pretty immature to tell people in your review that people are sick or twisted if they enjoy an anime with incest or any other thing YOU are triggered by bc we are not all the same nor do we have the same tastes in what we may enjoy watching.* I just had to add that after reading most of the reviews for this. It's funny that people tell other people not to watch this bc of the incest or other sex scenes yet the reviewer watched it I'm assuming since they left a review.**Sorry rant over. Haha.

Overall I thought the animation and the music was nice. No complaints at all. I enjoyed this anime for what it was and the different arcs it showed. I still hated Sora as a character and wished she wasn't so awful but other than that this wasn't bad at all. If you can get past some of the horrible reviews mainly about the incest - which there wasn't that much of really til the end then see for yourself if you think this anime is any good.  

BIG SPOILER: Surprise after they have sex finally she is totally cured of her shyness and illnesses!! Lmao 🤣

like seriously first it seems pretty innocent and nice like "heres a nice calm harem anime with beautiful scenery and even a gurren lagann reference how nice" straight to fuckin "INCEST SEX MULTIPLE TIMES WITH A GUY WHO CANT PICK A GIRL SO HE FUCKS THEM ALL!! NOT TO MENTION IT WAS TECHNICALLY RAPE AT LEAST 2 TIMES!! BTW RIGHT AFTER A FUCKING SEX SCENE SOMEONE TRIES TO COMMIT SUICIDE!!" like holy shit dude

so if that wasnt enough, big parts of the story are left to inference and interpretation and its super hard to follow

and the sound design sucks

This anime is practically a censored hentai that also contains incest. It can be very frightening and disturbing to many.

I cannot ignore this fact, but I will not take it as something negative and overlook it, because that is the subject of the series.

And this is where all the problems begin. I tried to find something good in this work that could somehow reflect the quality. But I failed miserably.
There is no real story but individual character arcs that take place between the protagonists and different girls.
The characters are terribly unsympathetic and uninteresting, but I'm glad that is the case. If a character were somehow likeable here, I would feel very weird.
At least the approach with the characters' past wasn't terrible. You saw a little more of the characters through the individual character arcs. However, it is not enough to compensate anything here.

You can certainly watch this title with censorship, but what do you find then? Empty characters, no plot, nonexistent drama, poor implementation. The only thing I could speak for here would be the subtle music, nothing more.

I don't know or understand what the background to this work was and what it was all about. I even tried to look for a deeper reason, but there is just nothing. Did I just check out some censored hentai now?

Tho Sora is pretty annoying and acting all spoiled she wants Haruka ffs INCEST ANIME HERE. It would be good too if it got a hentai with them 2. Overall it got a 8 wasn't really into how they made everyone like Haruka and Sora being more and more spoiled. Only at 3rd episode and it can be a full rated anime. Hope it don't got a twist in the anime with someone dying or Sora and Haruka hating eachother and being not in a relationship.
