Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories 6th Season ReviewThe sixth season to the series of Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories. - Lots of interesting stories and actual plot twists, in a way. Some of them weren't as to what I was expected. For example, The Wind's Warning, it wasn't how I expected the episode to be. Rather than it be scary, it felt depressed and nothing really scary. Rather, sadness. - Positives➤A decent amount of pretty scary ones. Personally, the most scary ones I found were Thunderous Visitor, The Dripping, Frog Eyes, and Mud Games➤From The Dripping, the rain actually looked realistic and blended in with the style of the animation➤Amount of storyline within four-ish minutes of each episode showcased a lot - Negatives (nothing too bad, more neutral/okay)➤Some of the episodes weren't scary, yet there were more depressing based on the storyline; mainly to do with the death of a loved one (nothing wrong with that and I know it's creepy to hear the voice of someone you admired and hearing them like it's nothing, but the point is nothing really happens. Just the voice. After that, nothing happens.)➤Most of them I could make out what could cause the character to go that way/happens, but some of them really didn't make sense and provide much anymore (if that makes sense...?) - In all general, although it's not the best season I found personally, however I still enjoyed it and I recommend watching this.

The stories in this season seemed ok, I don't know what it was, just didn't grab my attention as much. There were some stories I thought were good though: The Dripping, Tree of Innocence and Echoes are what I thought were the best. I was sad that the ending episode had nothing to do with the opening and ending credits like the previous seasons as well. Animation was in the same 2-D painting style we've come to know and love, so no change there. Opening and ending credits were great to see and hear, had some awesome music and the opening was so creepy as well. Only problem I had was with the very beginning was very loud and then when the episode started it was very low. It hasn't happened before so it may have had to do with how I was streaming it, who knows. Characters didn't really stand out to me in this one with exception to the episodes I highlighted earlier. Overall it was an ok watch, hope it gets better and a little creepier heading forward. I also think 4 minutes is still to short, but maybe it's because I'm just now noticing it.
