Yakitate Japan and Gintama are all-around comedy with absolutely hilarious facial expressions. The characters are very colourful, and you'll definitely get exaggerated reactions to anything here. Yakitate Japan takes a very unique plot into something enjoyable. You'll see Gintama have a lot of reference to other popular series, including anime, since it's all parody.
Both funny anime series with a lot of random stuff in it. I'm sure if you enjoy Gintama you will enjoy Yakitate!! Japan and vise versa.
I recommend you try Gintama if you liked Yakitate Japan, or Yakitate Japan if you liked Gintama, because they have various simularities comedy-wise.
Both series are wonderfully hilarious, generally random anime. I believe that if you enjoyed one you will most definitely enjoy the other! Both anime will have you in tears from laughing so hard! x'D
