This was a surprisingly good movie for the whole family. The story is pretty average adapting from Aladin in a Chinese setting but there is enough variation to keep you entertained. And while the story is just the latest iteration of a classic tale making a little predictable, everything is executed really well and that is what brings this movie to life. I enjoy many of the changes like the addition of martial arts and mythology, is a good twist that sets it apart of so many variations of the Aladin tale. The characters, the comedy, the excellent 3d animation, and especially the music work together to keep the flow going from scene to scene. I didn't feel a boring movement and no time is wasted in this adventure. There is some character development not only for the protagonists but also for secondary characters as well. Everyone learns something through the events that happen. The characters' personalities are very upbeat, a good choice for a kid's movie in my opinion. Regarding the animation, this is as close to a Pixar movie regarding quality as I have seen done by other studios. The choice of music was excellent too. Overall, if you want a good movie for the whole family or if you still enjoy kids' movies then this one deserves your attention. The dub was excellent.
