Both of these animes have where the main character is a smart detective that work to solve cases. Woodpecker Detective's Office probably did not plan to start the business but needed to bring in some income where Death Note, the main wanted to get rid of injustices even if he realized or not that he was becoming one of those people that he felt that should not be in the world.
