These two animes are pretty similar. The protagonist of In Another world with my Smartphone dies in the real world after being accidentally killed by God. Then the God reincarnates him to another world of magic. In Wise Man's Grandchild the protagonist too dies in a road accident. Unlike the first one he reincarnates in a magical world as a child. Soon after they make friends and relationship with the residents there. They both hold tremendous amount of proficiency in magic. They also have affinity in all sorts of magical elements.

Both shows are similar in how someone is brought to another world after death. And the other world had some mid evil setting with kings. Both didn't have moderen tech like cars. And both the person brought knowledge with them from their other world.

The difference is Wise Man's actually treats the gifted stuff as a possible danger, and not everyone really gets along. While the Smartphone show kinda doesn't take itself all that seriously, and things like war isn't really talked about or shown.

It should be noted that Smartphone show has a bunch of lolis around the main person, where everyone in the Wise Man is his age or older.

They are both great anime's with an overpowered male mc. The main characters have no trouble solving problems, and are great with their magic. Anyone who likes thragic genre, will love these.

First of all they hay the same premise: character, okay in real life, dies and gets reborn in new universe;Second would be the fact that the main character seems OverPowered at the beginning of the series, although things change in the future (slime later, gradchild earlier);Third is the ideea that the main character does not believe himself to be as OP as others perceive him to be;4'th - while the story revolves arround the main character, at least untill "...Grandchild" 5th pisode, he does not seem to be the one moving the world arround (dunno about further);5'th reason would be that they are both fun to watch, relaxing and intriguing in the Isekai genre.

Haven't seen much of Wise Man's Grandchild yet, but already it reminds me so much of Slime. Both involve a nobody reincarnated into a fantasy world and becoming overpowered. Both also involve a storyline that has quite a bit of mystery to it. Both even have their fair share of comedic and lighter moments to round out the action. I will admit that Slime is the better show, but I've been enjoying Wise Man's Grandchild so far and hope it stays good like Slime did
