Both animes focus on the premise that music is an integral part of their lifestyle. This includes both animes cast members forming a band and the enjoyment of playing as a group. Romance and love triangles are also key factors during both shows tenures.
White Album 2 and Kids on the Slope (Sakamichi no Apollon) are about a group of friends, their school life, the love triangles between them and their passion for music.
I think that if you liked one you'll probably like the other because of these elements, including the love and friendship story.
Both animes have a deep exploration of love triangles, they're both romance/friendship animes with music as a theme. Both in a school setting. A so-called delinquent character (Touma from WA2 and Sentaro from Kids on the Slope). If you're into romance-music-lovetriangle animes that can hit you right in the feels + with an unusual ending, this is the type of anime for you ;)
Both of these series use music as a way to form a truly intense love triangle. Both tore my heart to pieces. White Album 2, I'd argue, is more relentless than Sakamichi no Apollon / Kids on the Slope in how it treats its heroines. Sakamichi no Apollon / Kids on the Slope spends more time building characters before dropping into the drama.

School Days and White Album 2 are both the type of romance where the story doesn't end when the protagonist "gets the girl." Instead, they explore the difficulties of maintaining a relationship over time, with a prominent theme being infidelity. Some more superficial connections include both shows having a fair amount of fanservice at times and the male leads' similar character designs.
Both masterfully done stories of dramatic love triangles that don't exactly involve your typical harem themes with smiles all round and "friendly competition". If you enjoyed one, definitely set aside time to view the other series
Both are about an oblivious guy who makes a complete mess of things because of his undecisiveness.

Both of these take love triangles from visual novels and adapt the drama into anime form. Don't let the 2 in the titles deceive you from watching, because while they are sequel series, they include a completely new cast and no previous knowledge about the prior series is necessary for watching (take me for example, I haven't seen either of the first ones yet and enjoyed both). If you liked how in one the characters are genius musicians/artists going to a school for the talented mixed with regular students, along with the romance, the other should be to your liking too.

Both anime share a love triangle, and they're excuted with near perfection. Chuunibyou Ren is a light hearted rom com with a touch of fantasy while White Album 2 takes it's self very seriously.

Waiting in the Summer (Ano Natsu de Matteru) and White Album 2 contain a group of friends, school life, love triangles and an art form (filming and music respectively).

Kyosuke, Madoka and Hikaru are growing up and moving on; two headed for college, the third for the stage. This movie, which is a follow-up to the plot of the classic 80's series, details how each of the characters is coming to grips with their feelings for each other and where they are headed in their future. Unique storytelling wraps around the plot to give you a deeper understanding of the situation. An insightful movie that tugs at the heart strings, it serves to remind you that youth doesn't last forever.
Kazusa, the tsundere character in White Album 2, doesn't have the book smarts of KOR's Madoka; Hiraki can't teleport like Kyousuke; and there is no clear resolution to the love triangle in White Album 2 as is presented in the KOR first movie. That said, so much of the story of White Album 2 will resonate with lovers of Kimagure Orange Road -- the importance of music in the lives of the main three characters, the school setting; the majime boy; the "good" deredere light-haired girl; and especially the perceived delinquent musical prodigy with long, dark hair and absent parental figures. Where KOR (at least until the movies) is probably better classified as a comedy with occasional dramatic passages, White Album 2 tosses scattered bits of comedy like fish flakes into the turbulent fish tank of adolescent human emotion, and should not be viewed without a box of tissues at least as large as that needed to get through Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.

Both anime'a are similar in so many ways.
*A love traingle
*Enought Drama and Romance
*A love out of reach
The only downside is the there is no music except for the Banger OP
but this one is definitely one to watch if you liked W.A 2
