Satisfying Conclusion?❓ (ends nicely, but with a major conflict unsolved)Emotional?❓ (some sad backstories)Actual Romance?✔️ Actual Comedy?❌Fanservice/Nudity?✔️ (lots. bobs with no nips)What is this anime?Dude is gonna get held back a year if he can't summon a familiar. Just before the deadline, he comes upon an old summoning book. Unable to read it, but out of options, he copies the magic circle, and ends up summoning a demon, beings that have long been driven to extinction. This is about his life with this new familiar.Did I enjoy it?It was fun. I've always enjoyed shows in the rpg and isekai-like side of anime. The issue is making something fresh in an oversaturated genre. And unfortunately, this lacks in that aspect as well. Magic school setting has been done before. Theres duels between students. Theres the magic ball that measures mana. Theres the childhood friend who is in love with the MC. There are some characters whose existence is unnecessary. Some characters make no sense in their actions and contradict themselves when new plot lines are added. The two main characters aren't too bad. Their world view changes and they grow. They don't fall under being tied to specific personalites/types. The show goes in between light-hearted and serious. By the end we still don't know the villain's motives, yet it concludes decently enough. tldr theres nothing new here. Watch if you are like me and dig the OP MC / RPG-like genre despite shortcomings, or if you dig the fanservice.
